Our Impact

Here's just a small sampling of the initiatives we've worked on over the years.

  • I Am Upcycled

I Am Upcycled" is our product brand under Green Life Generation. For 7 years and counting, this initiative of Green Life Generation has been crafting upcycled gifts and packaging, contributing to the livelihoods of local women in the village of Kengalle.

Our Green Life Generation project transforms waste from local homes, garment factories and furniture manufacturers into affordable upcycled treasures. From patchwork carpets, aprons, each creation tells a tale of resilience.

Beyond products, we're dedicated to providing flexible, part-time employment and a secure monthly income to marginalized women. Join us in turning waste into art and supporting a community built on sustainability. "I Am Upcycled" – where every purchase contributes to a brighter future.

  • Let's Feed a Village

In the initial days of the COVID-19 curfew, many families were left without savings or able to feed their families. In order to provide short term relief, Green Life Generation started an initiative called “Let’s Feed a Village” where we were able to raise over 220,000 lkr to provide over 100 families with food and supplies to last between one to two weeks.

  • Green Life Boutique

Welcome to Green Life Boutique in Kengalle, near Digana, Kandy, where we're redefining the shopping experience with the innovative concept of 'No Cash, Only Trash.' This pilot project, spearheaded by Green Life Generation as part of our community-empowering zero-waste mission, introduces a unique way for customers to participate in sustainable living.

Through our Bincoin system, customers can exchange their waste for points, which can then be used for shopping at the Green Life Boutique. Discover a curated selection of second-hand clothes, take advantage of daycare facilities, or unwind with a cup of coffee at the Green Life Cafe – all while contributing to a greener, more sustainable future.
